About

Telling stories of all shapes and sizes, while representing voices and ideas from across the spectrum is what inspires me, and that ideal is reflected in the work I do and the people I work with. Whether a project is for entertainment, advertising, journalism, or education, each context requires that the story captures the audience’s attention, is relatable, and resonant.

I am a passionate collaborator, supporting directors, creative leads, and designers in facilitating the full potential of any given project. I have worked in the entertainment, advertising, and non-profit media industries on an array of projects as a producer, film editor, director of photography and also a director. Rooted in a vérité approach to storytelling and bringing artistic ingenuity to every project, I strive to communicate my clients’ visions across a changing sea of content and contexts.

Selected commercial clients include: Old Navy, W2O Group, Specialized Bicycle Company, Hodo Foods, The Vitec Group, Dodge & Cox, Participant Media, Fox Searchlight, Sundance Institute, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Hyundai Worldwide, American Express, Condé Nast, Madewell, and UCLA.

I received an MFA in Fine Art Film & Video from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, and a BFA in Painting and BA in Japanese from Washington University in St. Louis. My educational experiences inform my passionate approach to “the work.” I have taught film editing in the MFA programs at the University of Southern California and The Southern California Institute of Architecture, and I have been a frequent collaborator to faculty and students at the School of Theatre Film and Television at UCLA.

I am also a father (of two), a husband (of one), a musician, and a cyclist, but those are stories for another time.
